What Makes The Aero Exhaust Tick?

December 11, 2007

A lot of people are wondering what makes the Aero Turbine Muffler so special and what sets it apart from other performance mufflers on the market.  Aero Exhaust was good enough to provide this cutout so that we could show our clients what the internals of these revolutionary mufflers look like.

The Aero Turbine Muffler is based on jet engine and thermaldynamic technology. The incoming exhaust airstream is rapidly expanded and split via an airfoil cone with an orifice similar to a jet engine. The outer airstream accelerates as it recombines with the inner airstream. The air then begins to spin, due to the velocity and air transfers. The recombining of the airstreams creates a vacuum that both muffles the exhaust sound and increases the exhaust flow. This allows your engine to breath easier and dramatically increases your vehicles performance and economy.

Aero Exhaust Diesel Performance Exhaust System

September 28, 2007

For several years now Aero Exhaust has been taking the diesel performance muffler market by storm.  The deep throaty sound, lower EGT’s and improved mileage gains that the Aero Turbine Muffler provides has driven the Aero Turbine Muffler straight to the top of the performance muffler market.  For those of you that aren’t really familiar, Aero Exhaust offers performance mufflers for both gas and diesel applications starting at 2.5″, and going all the way up to 5″ with both resonated and non resonated models. With our diesel clients, there have been several models that have been popular just depending on the application. Visit Parley’s Diesel Performance to shop for your performance muffler today.

For our clients who are into TDI Performance, the Aero Turbine 2525XL has been the most popular model by far.  Our tests on the dyno have shown that on a 2002 VW Golf TDI we were able to gain 10hp, we also noticed a considerable decrease in turbo lag and an increase in mileage while still maintaining stock noise levels in the cab.

When it comes to performance for the Big Three — Ford, Dodge, and Chevy we recently got some great news from Aero Exhaust anouncing that they are releasing full turbo back exhaust systems which would come with the Aero Turbine Muffler in line.  We actually had a chance to get our hands on one of the prototype 5″ turbo back exhaust systems for our 2005 Dodge Cummins project vehicle.  We have been really impressed with the quality of the system all around, as well as the performance gains we have seen from it.

If you want to hear it for yourself you can check out the video below.
